The WB Abu Dhabi – The World’s First Warner Bros Themed Hotel Set to Open in 2021

Hilton revealed that the world’s first Warner Bros. hotel, the WB Abu Dhabi, will be operated and managed under its upper-upscale Curio Collection by Hilton Brand. Also, Hilton will manage the serviced residences under its DoubleTree by Hilton Brand.

Miral, Abu Dhabi’s creator of destination, appointed Hilton to undertake two of its hospitality offerings to Yas Island. As Miral invests AED 627 million ($170 million) in the construction, currently, the hotel and the residences are more than 75% complete and are set to open their doors to guests in 2021.  The two companies have been collaborating since 2017 when Miral first appointed Hilton for the operation and management of the Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Hotel.

BR Kiran, Chief Portfolio Officer at Miral, said, “Hilton is a globally recognized partner and we are honoured to be partnering with them to bring the Curio Collection by Hilton and DoubleTree by Hilton brands to Abu Dhabi for the first time.” He further added, “This supports our strategy and vision of creating unforgettable experiences for every guest on Yas Island while increasing the diversity of hospitality options available to them.”

Carlos Khneisser, VP of Development, MEA at Hilton, said, “We are proud to be partnering with Miral on these two new hotels, which will see us introduce two new brands to Abu Dhabi.” He further stated, “Miral has a clear vision to develop Yas Island into a global destination and we look forward to being a part of this transformation.” 

The WB Abu Dhabi will feature more than 250 rooms, signature WB restaurants, a WB store, a premier spa and fitness club, kids’ club, family pool and a shaded rooftop pool overlooking Yas Island’s skyline. The hotel is said to offer premium services and deliver an excellent hospitality offering through distinctive experiences for the leisure and business travellers. 

The Warner Bros. themed hotel promises to pay tribute to Warner Bros.’ legacy of rich entertainment, offering fans a unique way to experience their favourite brands and characters, as affirmed by Pim Lifford, President of Warner Bros. Global Brands, Franchises and Experiences.

As Yas Island, already home to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Formula Rossa and Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi, is establishing itself as one of the top global destinations for leisure and entertainment in the world, the Warner Bros. licensed hotel is considered to make a significant impact along with complementing Miral’s rapidly growing portfolio of unique entertainment and leisure attractions.
