OnePlus 8T: Everything You Need To Know

The OnePlus brand is known for great design, powerful specs, the leanest UI experience, and a low price. Every year, OnePlus launches their ultra-flagship ‘T’ series device.
OnePlus 8T is the smartphone that is among the finest pieces of hardware and software combinations we can get in the market. With its flagship processor, stock android like UI, best hardware’s, the device is capable of satisfying everyone’s thirst.
OnePlus 8T: In details
The ‘T’ series of the device from OnePlus has a tweaked design, better features, and works on customers’ feedbacks. With this year 8T, they continued to feature glass back caged in an aluminum frame and the design looks quite refreshing than the OnePlus 8. Following the market trends and user demands, 8T features a 120Hz high refresh rate display that has HDR 10+ certification. It has a wide 6.55 ” fluid AMOLED panel, 20:9 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front as well on the back. The device weighs 188g and is built on a thickness of 8.4 mm.
Besides, the high refresh rate screen, it also supports 240Hz touch sampling rate for better touch response. The display has a JNCD color accuracy of less than 0.55 and a maximum luminosity of 1,100 nits.
Performance & Storage
Every year the ‘T’ series of devices bundles ‘+’ SoC variants but sadly, this handset bundles the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor. It’s a flagship processor and I am pretty sure that this won’t disappoint you in any way. The OnePlus 8T is catered with Oxygen OS out of the box and is based on the latest Android 11.
Moving on, you can choose the device in two configurations – 8+128GB and 12+256GB. Similarly, it uses UFS 3.1 flash storage for better read/write speeds but 8T still uses LPDDR4X RAM instead of DDR5 RAM which seems unfair to me considering its price.
Camera
OnePlus handsets are one of the best Android alternatives out there in the market and if you’re a camera crazy guy this phone should definitely meet your demands. It features rectangular camera cutouts that hold four rear lenses. With a 48MP, f/1.7 wide frame, 16 MP, f/2.2, 123 deg ultra-wide, 5 MP, f/2.4 macro, and a 2 MP, f/2.4 depth sensor, it has a quad-camera configuration on the back. On the front, there is a 16MP, f/2.4 wide lens on a left-aligned notch.

In low light, OnePlus 8T has a dedicated nightscape mode. I wouldn’t call it the best phone for night shooting, but the pictures are good. The front camera does not have nightscape mode, so the photo you can expect at night is OK. The macro camera, on the other hand, helps you to image an object from an inch away.
Battery & Charging
The OnePlus 8T packs a powerful 4500 mAh non-removable battery and supports Warp charge 65, which promises full recharge in 39 minutes. Similarly, there’s no IP rating officially but the device seals all the ports and makes it water-resistant, so this isn’t much of an issue.
