Starting from 5th April 2021 to 7th April 2021, Dubai is all set to host its first-ever Cybertech Global event at Grand Hyatt Dubai. Cybertech Global is a prestigious international exhibition and conference for the cyber industry.
The eighth edition of Cybertech Global to be held in Dubai will be an in-person event and is set to be the largest security networking event to be held outside of the US. The event is being hosted by Dubai Electronic Security Centre (DESC). Cybertech Global expects to witness the participation of a total of 50 delegations and 52 companies. In addition, many high-level stakeholders, startups, entrepreneurs, government organizations, and national and international companies are expected to be active participants in the event.
Some of the influential figures and leading experts set to be a part of the event are Yigal Unna, Director General, Israel National Cyber Directorate; General Wesley Clark, the former Supreme Commander of NATO forces in Europe; and General David Petraeus, the former Director of the CIA, among others.
Cybertech Global will host many events and informative sessions related to topics such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), advanced IoT, big data, and cloud. In addition, the event will also encompass sessions associated with various other areas including finance, insurance, mobile and communications, health industry, and smart mobility.
Furthermore, Cybertech Global is set to address the challenges faced in the field of technology due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, especially in the past year. As a result, the event will include discussions regarding cybersecurity challenges, possible approaches and, consequences in sectors such as fintech, retail, insurance, aviation, economics, and politics.
Speaking about the highly anticipated event, his Excellency Yousuf Hamad AlShaibani, Director General of the Dubai Electronic Security Center, said: “Through hosting Cybertech Global Dubai, we seek to highlight Dubai’s successful experience in embracing the digital revolution. The Government of Dubai has made significant strides in digital transformation and seeks to continue enhancing its cooperation and sharing its expertise with countries and entities both regionally and globally.”
Addressing the pandemic, he further added, “This event comes as the world recovers from a global pandemic and begins to address its repercussions at various levels. This challenging period has highlighted the role that digital technologies serve in our lives, and the tangible impact they can have.”
Likewise, AlShaibani expressed the DESC’s eagerness to gain the support coordination with regional and international bodies in order to enable the exchange of ideas in the field of cybersecurity. “This allows us to achieve our vision, which aims to enhance Dubai’s status as a leading city for innovation, safety, and security globally,” as per AlShaibani.
